The first episode of the new Syfy series “World Beyond” is a great example of how to use science fiction to explore our current world. It also features an interesting take on what it means to be human, which is always something worth exploring.

The the walking dead world beyond season 2 episode 1 is a review of the first episode of the second season.

The fact that The Walking Dead: World Beyond will only have two seasons still astounds us. We’re excited to see how this will fit into The Walking Dead world, especially since it’s a limited series. We know Jadis is returning in this season, which is thrilling, but there’s also a war on the horizon, which is terrifying. The CRM is creating enemies and claiming to be the solution to the world’s problems, but is it?

Let’s go through everything again!

It’s going to get a little spoilery!

World Beyond’ 2×01 Review: “Konsekans”AMC

Omaha is no longer a city.

The episode starts with a flashback from the previous season. Outside Omaha, the CRM prepares a charged bomb to detonate a charge that will detonate a charge that will detonate a charge that will detonate a charge that will detonate a charge A column of walkers, larger than any horde in history, makes its way towards the city. The CRM not only destroyed Omaha, but also the Campus Colony, it becomes clear. While we are aware that they are accountable for the Campus Colony, we are astounded to hear that they have perpetrated such atrocities and that this isn’t the only community to which they have done so.

Iris (Aliyah Royale) and Felix (Nico Tortorella) are still upset over Hope’s death (Alexa Mansour). Will (Jelani Alladin) discusses his experiences and how he got out of the CRM. He and a colleague had been sent on what was really a disposal trip because they suspected something dodgy had been going on in the CRM. Will had eluded capture and had even seen Omaha survivors. They returned safely to the Perimeter, where Will and his gang were staying. The CRM’s threads are unraveling, and we’re seeing who they really are. They don’t care about murdering people in this world when there are so few left alive, which irritates us. It’s a huge power play. They’re attempting to demonstrate that they are in control of the apocalypse.

We clung to a question posed by one of the Perimeter’s commanders to Will, Felix, and Iris. What makes you tick? It’s eerily similar to Morgan and Rick’s post-apocalyptic worldview with their post-apocalyptic family. “How many people have you killed?” isn’t it, but it might be a Rick question. Who knows after all these years? Our interest is aroused as to how this community got to live by it. We can’t help but appreciate their work as well.

We were all melted into puddles when Will and Felix eventually reunited. It is undoubtedly one of the most significant and priceless moments of the premiere. This song hits us straight in the emotions. We’ve been kept wondering if Will is alive or not for the whole season. In a world like this, the chances of reuniting with loved ones are few, therefore we are overjoyed for them. Definitely a ship on which we’re all sailing.

Meanwhile, Iris is bracing herself for a battle with the CRM. She sees right through the CRM’s falsehoods about a column being to blame for her home’s demise. She knows even in her nightmares, and her nightmares are wild. Iris, in the spirit of Rick Grimes, is ready to put a stop to the CRM, and we support her. It’s time to take chances and cause a stir.

It’s unknown how Elton (Nicolas Cantu), Percy (Ted Sutherland), and Silas (Hal Cumpston) are doing right now, but we hope they’re well and reunited with Iris and Hope soon. We miss having the whole gang together! Iris and Felix will need the help of their gang if they are to stop the CRM.

Demons from inside

Hope and Huck (Annet Mahendru) are taken on a dangerous field trip in Albany, which makes us nervous. Going with them has already put Hope in over her head. While we’re used to crowds, columns are a whole other beast. A walker cluster large enough to fill a major metropolis like Omaha or New York City is known as a column. They are almost difficult to stop as they wander through areas like this. That shook us, but not as much as Elizabeth (Julia Ormond) lying to Hope about a column demolishing both Omaha and the Campus Colony and claiming she attempted to save as many people as she could. In reality, she is the one who is responsible for the devastation of both communities.

This lady is a politician’s worst nightmare. She even retracts her earlier statement that she would take Hope to her father until Hope was fully committed to the CRM. Rather of staying, Hope decides to take a risk on her own. Hope may be obstinate, but she’s strong, and she’s even capable of proving herself on her own. The hooded person pursuing her, on the other hand, gives us the creeps. While this reminds us of Michonne from Season 2 of The Walking Dead, we have a hunch this is a badass samurai wielder.

Hope attempts to reason with her stalker, who turns out to be the girl she saw on a missing person poster. This is Hope’s first solitary contact with someone who had been living outside of a community’s safety net, and it put her strength to the test. When the lady was devoured by walkers right in front of her after attempting to murder her, it challenged her desire to live and traumatized her. In The Walking Dead world, being unable to assist someone isn’t unheard of, but it still hurts and leaves a mark.

We can’t say we blame Hope for joining the CRM despite our reservations. She was able to reclaim her father. What would you do if you had to resurrect your family in this world?

Evolution

Hope’s character evolves as a result of Huck’s concern for her. She is no longer just a CRM soldier. She has grown to appreciate the family she discovered at the Campus Colony. That was further shown when her mother inquired about how much the others knew about the assignment. We’re still not sure what the goal was since obtaining Hope appeared to be just one part of it, but we’re suspicious of Elizabeth’s obsession with it.

When Huck is able to get Hope alone, she tells her everything. We’re overjoyed to learn that she keeps Iris and Felix safe. Getting Hope’s trust back, on the other hand, will be tough. Hope has no intention of really assisting the CRM, and we have a sense, or at least hope, that Huck will join her in that endeavor. The CRM does not seem to be changing the world as they say by being the bad guy. It’s being remade in their image.
