If you’re not familiar with the Eternals, then you’ve probably already been playing catch up with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While other heroes might have been relegated to cartoonish, one-dimensional roles, the Eternals have steadily been gaining more prominence in the last few years. That’s because the Eternals are a team of ancient beings who have lived throughout the ages, and they’re some of the most powerful beings in the Marvel universe. Led by Ikaris, the son of the Marvel’s first big bad, the group consists of the Eternal Ikaris, the Eternal Phastos, and the Eternal Pheora.

Last week, word broke that Marvel Studios has tapped Jack Kirby’s “Eternals” to be introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series is a fascinating one, where the immortal, ageless Eternals have essentially taken over the world. It is an expansive concept that has seen varied treatments over the decades, ranging from the “Eternals” comic series to the short-lived TV series “The Eternals” and “The Eternals: Rise of the Silver Surfer.”

Many, many years ago, Jack Kirby first came up with the team for the Eternals. He made it as an alliance of some mighty men and women who would come together. They all brought out their unique superpowers to fight evil together. The Eternals are a race of humanoids that come together to fight evil as a team of unknowns, faced with challenges they’ve never encountered before.

The movie is set right after the shocking and unforgettable events of Avengers: Endgame. It talks about the Eternals, a team of humanoids that were created 4000 years ago by Celestials. Celestials have secretly been living on Earth for 7000 years. Now, recently, they have been faced with an evil counterpart race of theirs, the Deviants. Some of the superheroes coming in for all the activities have been looking forward to eliminating the Deviant for quite a long time. Let us look at some of the dynamics of the film and see what to expect.

A bit of the story

When the Celestials, a race that came down to Earth hundreds of thousands of years ago, created two different races. On the one hand, they created 100 Eternals, and on the other, they created 100 Deviants.

Kronos ruled the Eternals at the time, but then Kronos decided to mess with the cosmic forces. Because of this, he was killed, but after being done so, he became a force of cosmic power, which affected the Eternals in the same way. That is why the Eternals possess such godlike powers. If you observe very carefully, most names are linked to Greek mythology, such as Ikaris or Thena or others. That is why they try to connect the godlike characters with the gods of Greek mythology. Thus, such a story comes to life.

With all this in mind, we can only expect to see a raging battle between the two races, the Eternals and the Deviants. Of course, we expect the Eternals to emerge victorious from the battle. That way, they would keep humankind safe and fight together to protect the world from the forces of evil. What an exciting build!

Release dates for the movie!

There is some excellent news with regards to the release date. As it is, the movie is set to release in November of this year. A teaser trailer of the movie has already been dropped by Marvel a month ago.

From the looks of it, it looks like there have only been all the character introductions. There was a little joke in the end as to how who will lead the Avengers after Captain American and Iron Man are gone. Ikaris jumped in by saying he can and then everyone broke into laughter. But will he? We can only find out what happens next for these mighty cosmic heroes. Eternals hits theatres on November 5th, 2023. Be ready!
