A couple of years ago, we at Fear Street did a post on whether or not the series was still scary. There was a lot of discussion on whether or not the series was actually scary at all, or if the hysteria surrounding the series was just a bunch of nonsense.

Despite the fact that all the sequels have been released, Fear Street still has some scares left. Fear Street: The movie is different from the rest of the series, as it is the first Fear Street movie that does not have another Fear Street book in the same year. It is also the first horror movie of the Fear Street series to be released in 3-D.

Feat Street Part One: 1994

(Spoilers ahead)

The first installment in the Fear Street Trilogy is Fear Street Part One: 1994. The film was released on Netflix on July 2, 2023. It is set in the year 1994, as the title itself suggests. The film follows a group of teenagers who take it upon themselves to solve the ongoing series of murders in their town of Shadyside, Ohio.

A bookstore employee Heather is surprisingly killed by her friend Ryan one night. The sheriff of the town steps in soon enough and shoots Ryan in the head. But the murders don’t stop in the town, and this was not the first brutal murder of Shadyside town. The town is called the murder capital of the United States.

The teens of the town blame all the murders of the town on a deceased witch, who was executed and had cursed the town, Deena Johnson, who lives in Shadyside with her brother Josh does not believe the witch’s story. She has two friends Kate and Simon, and an ex-girlfriend Sam, who moved to Sunnyvale, a neighboring town.

The students from Sunnyvale and Shadyside gather to mourn and pay respects to the dead. But all hell breaks loose when a fight breaks out between the Sunnyvale kids and Shadyside kids. In a rash accident, Sam gets injured and disturbs a grave, which turns out to be the gave of the executed witch.

All the other undead murderers, now influenced by the witch hunt Sam and her friends, don’t let them go until Sam is dead. Throughout all this, the police do not believe that it is a ghost that is killing the town’s people. So Deena, Sam, Josh, Kate, and Simon defeat the killers by themselves.

Lives are lost and saved in the process. The dead are blamed for their death. But the curse of the witch still hovers on the town. Deena must save Sam, just like another girl from the past who survived the witch’s curse. Deena promises Sam that she will get her back.

Throughout the first film, there are references to the previous murders of the town. Those references give hints about the storylines for the following two films. The primary characters for the following films have been introduced in the first part.

Feat Street Part Two: 1978

Feat Street Part Two: 1978 is the second film, the Fear Street Trilogy. C. Berman, a character introduced in the ending of Fear Street Part One: 1994, is one of the main characters for film number 2. The film’s plot revolves around Cindy Berman and Ziggy Berman, who go camping along with people from Sunnyvale and Shadyside.

Horrific things start happening in the camp, and all of the people must now come together to solve and save themselves from by killing ghostly murderers. With reference from Feat Street Part One: 1994, we can assume that the events of 1978 were caused by the same with that troubled the teens in 1994.

Feat Street Part Three: 1666

Fear Street Part Three: 1666 is the third film in the Feat Street trilogy. The film is set in 1666 Shadyside. Considering that the year in this film is 1666 and the details of the film, the story might revolve around the witch who was executed in 1666. Witch hunters are hunting Sara Fier, but that will have horrible consequences in the coming future.
