Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have recently signed a hefty book contract, which may put them ahead of former President Barack Obama and his wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama.
Both the former President and the former First Lady have written best-sellers. And those books, which provide insights into their intriguing lives, continue to top best-seller lists.
Barack Obama wrote the first book of his presidency memoirs, “A Promised Land.” Michelle Obama, on the other hand, wrote her own book, “Becoming,” about her life and time in the White House.
However, one royal couple seems to be on the verge of outdoing them. Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, are said to be writing four novels together.
In their 16-bathroom, 9-bedroom Montecito, California home, it seems like the Duchess and Duke will make full use of that library! (However, don’t worry about them becoming out of shape while they’re writing.) There’s also a tennis court, a gym, and a pool at the house).
Prince Harry’s book deal is better than expected, according to reports.
Following the announcement that Prince Harry will write a book, the contract was restricted to a single volume.
However, according to a recent source, that contract has now been tripled. According to a source cited by Page Six, both Harry and Meghan are engaged in the transaction.
The deal, which was signed with the renowned Penguin Random House, is said to include a memoir by Harry. One source stated at first that Harry had promised to write a second book “after his grandmother dies.”
A second source, however, disputed that the Duke of Sussex had agreed to write any book about Queen Elizabeth’s death, calling the idea “appalling.”
The memoir is expected to be released by the end of 2023. However, Harry’s book is just one of four in the series.

Meghan, who is known for her love of yoga and healthy food, is said to be writing a wellness book as part of the four-book agreement.

But it’s a publishing insider who drops the actual shock. Prince Harry’s bargaining methods are said to have astounded the book publishing firm.

The insider said, “He had a very ‘take it or leave it’ attitude.” “Those involved were taken aback by his approach, which consisted of staring them down and stating his demands: $25 million.”
It’s possible that this “take it or leave it” attitude included declining to travel for in-person talks. The whole negotiating process was allegedly handled from Prince Harry’s California home.
What will the Duke of Sussex’s memoir be about? Insiders disagreed over the contents, according to Page Six.
According to one insider, the memoir, which is valued at $20 million, is not meant to be a book of insults on the royal family. Instead, according to the source, Prince Harry is just writing the book to speak “his truth.”
Another source, however, disagreed.
That insider screamed, “On what planet does Harry believe this isn’t a f–k you to the family?”
