This is the shirt I wore to the San Diego Comic Con, which had a huge promotion for Loki-themed merchandise. The staff at the Time Variance Authority booth were really friendly and I managed to get a custom shirt which included the Time Variance Authority logo.

The TVA’s ability to control time has already been used to create a shirt, but you can use your own time travel skills to bring this shirt to life!

I went to a Cinetopia movie screening at The Fridge on the last day of December. The movie was “The Imitation Game” and had a great story and stunning cinematography.  The good news is that I got a ticket for a later showing.  The bad news is that instead of seeing it in the afternoon like everyone else, I saw it in the evening.  The even worse news is that the showing started late.  Little did I know that the movie was playing at 9:30 PM instead of 7:30 PM.  So instead of seeing the movie about 2 hours sooner I saw it 2 hours later.  The movie was not the same as the regular evening show and the. We are just days away from the premiere of Loki on Disney+! Marvel Studios’ latest series will include six episodes, the first of which, dedicated to Loki, will air on Wednesday, Sept. 9. June, will be featured.

While we didn’t get much Marvel material last year, 2023 will be full of Marvel releases! From WandaVision to Falcon to The Winter Soldier to Black Widow (out soon on July 9), all the new Marvel releases have been phenomenal so far, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings.

BTW in the Marvel movie Loki, what does that mean?

If you’ve seen the trailer for the new Loki series (or if you’ve seen it 100 times like I have), you might be wondering what the TVA logo on Loki’s shirt means.

In the Marvel universe, TVA stands for Time Variance Authority, a ruthless bureaucratic organization that controls and monitors the timelines within the multiverse.

What does TVA have to do with Loki, you ask? Remember when Loki removed the Tesseract during the events of The Avengers: Endgame? That wasn’t going to happen, and it set in motion a new timeline of events that breaks with the timeline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (as we’ve known it so far).

What happened when Loki took the Tesseract in Endgame? Where did he go? We’re about to find out.

Make your own TVA shirt like Loki’s suit

To celebrate Loki’s new series, I decided to make my own Time Variance Authority (TVA) t-shirt, just like Loki with his suit in the trailer!

Try making this easy Loki shirt yourself by downloading the Loki VAT file in the instructions below.

All you need is a t-shirt and orange vinyl in two colors. I used Cricut to cut out the TVA logo, but this design is so simple you could also print it out, wrap it in vinyl and cut out the shapes with scissors.

Here are the types of vinyl I used – light orange and dark orange. (Yes, it’s a barely noticeable color difference, but I wanted an accurate representation of the logo).

At first I thought a beige shirt would be perfect for this project, but then I found this gorgeous linen shirt at Target! I loved the style and knew I would be wearing it much more often. I couldn’t find this shirt in a brown color, but I thought this beige and green version was pretty close.

Instructions

  1. Download the VAT logo from the list above.
  2. Download the VAT logo from Cricut Design Space (or go to my Cricut project files here).
  3. Two logos are needed – a small logo for the front and a large logo for the back. Adjust the size to fit your shirt. For my t-shirt, I decided to make the smaller logo on the front 5 inches wide and the larger logo on the back 11 inches wide.
  4. Cut out the logo pieces from the vinyl for ironing. Note – I used light and dark orange vinyl for the logos, as I thought it would better represent the image on the screen. If desired, you can cut out the logo in one orange colour. (If you are using the Cricut for this step, mirror the pattern before cutting).
  1. After adding the back logo, follow the same procedure as for the smaller front logo on the upper left side of the shirt.

nuts

If you don’t have a Cricut machine to cut out the VAT logo, you can still make this t-shirt! The VAT logo consists of simple shapes, so you only have to print it out in the right size and cut it out with scissors. Draw the shapes on the orange vinyl and then cut them out with vinyl scissors.

If you’re a fan of the Avengers movies, you’ll know that the Hulk is a big fan of the television industry, and Loki’s part of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) is one of the biggest movie franchises in modern movie history. Loki is also a big fan of TVA (Time Variance Authority), and so we thought it would be a good idea to get Loki on the shirt with our Time Variance Authority logo..
